The CRC will be holding the first of three club trials on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Canvasback Kennels/Felix and Cara Mock in Camden (872 Gary Road, Camden, SC 29020). As with last year’s Club Trials, there will be retriever tests (for competition/placement) and training scenarios offered at each level. The training opportunities will be the exact same tests as the placements. In training, however, the handler will be able to use training aids during a hunt test scenario. This is a great way to get that “test wise” dog under control for the next hunt. Training fees are the same amount as the retriever test fees. Remember: You must let the Judges know before running your dog that you are only training and not in contention for placement. Both the retriever tests and training will begin at 9:00 am and Upland around 3:00 pm. Please note: In order to compete in the Upland test, you and your dog MUST be pre-registered. This is the only way that the CRC can ensure that enough birds are available for all participants. A club trial premium will be sent out soon (and also posted on the CRC website).
